Official currency in Ukraine is hryvnia (UAH).
All the prices in the shops, hotels etc are shown in UAH
US dollars (USD) and Euros (EUR) are exchanged easily at banks and currency offices, and while other currencies can also be exchanged, they are not as widely accepted.

Banknotes of the following denomination: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 Hryvnias.
On the banknote obverse there are depicted portraits of some persons in the history and literature of Ukraine. The portraits are made with relief printing.
On the banknote reverse there are depicted historical and architectural monuments of Ukraine.
Coins
Coins exist in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 kopecks, as well as 1 hryvnia, where 100 kopecks = 1 hryvnia.
Hryvnia abbreviated as ' грн ' in Cyrillic.
